Smile to the World was founded following the tragedy of September 11th, catalyzed by the flood of emotion and love that sureged around the globe at that time.

In classrooms on both sides of the border in Ireland teachers and children considered the reasons for the conflict and sadness in the world. The children then drew pictures of joy and happiness from their own lives as gifts of hope and healing.

Over 130,000 children joined to express their compassion for the victims of suffering and their dreams for a kinder world.
